Metal forming or cold working is any metal working process in which metal is shaped below its recrystallization temperature, usually at the ambient temperature at or near room temperature include rolling, bending, drawing, forging, swaging and stamping. Cold working increases hardness and yield strength, but also reduces toughness, plastic deformation and ductility, and may cause cracks of the material. Heat Treatment process can be used after cold working to relieve residual stress and to restore some of these lost properties. The degree of cold working and the type of heat treatment process can be tailored to achieve the desired balance of strength, ductility, and toughness in the final product
